WebDT Content Management Software


WebDT Content Manager software is one of the primary components in the comprehensive Digital Signage System. WebDT Content Manager's web-based server software provides central management of  digital signage media players, and automates the design and distribution of a wide variety of multi-media file formats into playlists. Playlists are then set into schedules and stored in a central database for distribution to the network of digital signage displays. With WebDT Content Manager, the message to be played is assembled, scheduled, and delivered for dynamic playback over a network of digital signage appliances using standard file formats and protocols.

1.1 Web-based Browser Interface

  • Intuitive, central management. Easily operate anytime and anywhere.
  • Applicable for multi-national users or business travelers.

1.2 Auto Recovery

  • Automatically reload the scheduled content and restart software to continue playback.
  • Automatically delete expired or low-priority files to continue new content.

1.3 Edge Server

  • Support Edge Servers to improve download efficiency within a large network of Media Players.

1.4 WebDT Offline USB Update Tool

  • In order to support sites with no Internet access, users can deploy content and schedules to signage appliances with Offline USB Update Tool.

1.5 Multi-site Management and Upload tool

  • Manage multiple signage networks, and also manage and synchronize files between local networks and remote servers.

2. Flexible Layout Tool and Playlist Editing


2.1 Multiple Screens and Zones

  • Support up to 16 screens and split into up to 16 zones; Adjust overlap and order of zones.
  • Create new zones with quick buttons and drag to desired size and location.

2.2 Preset and Customized Templates

  • Built-in templates to quickly apply layout design, options for Landscape or Portrait.
  • Create layout and save as template, insert zones and set attributes one by one.

2.3 Playlist Editing

  • Edit Playlist according to layout template; set media list for each individual zone.
  • Create a Combolist (Combination of multiple playlists) to link or embed multiple playlists for faster schedule recurrence settings.
  • Add Spot List on top of published schedules to save time when inserting a new playlist.

3. Remote Control and Device Management


3.1 Send to Signage Appliance for Preview or Playback

  • Preview each media file and scheduled playlist from signage appliances.
  • Capture real-time snapshot of content currently playing on WebDT Signage Appliance.
  • Turn off screen when the Media Player is idle.
  • Schedule power management for each Media Player .

3.2 Reporting

  • Review and monitor detailed record of signage appliance playback results.
  • Report can be saved as CSV format, read/ export to other database for billing purposes.

4. Scheduling, System and Account Management


4.1 Group Management

  • A network of WebDT Signage Appliances can be segmented into groups for efficient scheduling, settings or other functions.
  • Query reports can be generated for specific groups and time slots.

4.2 Account Management and Approval System

  • System administration can manage accounts and assign different authority levels.
  • Manager can supervise the account, approve schedules, receive player malfunction emails or SMS alerts, and publish urgent casts.

4.3 Scheduling

  • Graphical calendar interface for intuitive search and planning.
  • Advanced editing for each playlist to set start time, duration and recurrence.
  • Published schedule downloadable, and played at designated site.
  • Set a specific time range for schedule downloading.

5. Dynamic Formats Support


5.1 Media Library

  • A variety of digital multimedia formats are supported: html, url, image, audio, video, Flash and PowerPoint.
  • Batch Upload – reduce repetitive, time-consuming tasks.
  • Preload media files to selected players to save downloading time after publishing.

5.2 Real-time Video

  • Incorporate Video Input (Analog S-Video or Analog RCA Video) into a zone (currently available for SA2000 only)

5.3 Remotely Launch Embedded Executable Programs (.exe)

  • Remotely launch and execute programs and/or Java programs.

6. Ticker and Urgent CAST


6.1 Ticker

  • Create ticker zone of any size anywhere within a template.
  • Support static text and real-time information through a RSS feed.
  • Adjustable ticker font, color, speed and location.

6.2 Urgent CAST

  • Create urgent messages for emergency situations in text, audio or multimedia formats; options for uploading a site logo or locking/ unlocking screen.
  • Preload urgent cast messages to signage appliances for immediate playback when a situation arises.
  • Urgent messages can be sent to the digital signage network as well as all computers within a network.
